Yes, you have it right – we are super excited and super honored to announce that we have been asked to be a part of the creativeLIVE line-up for 2012!! This means you get to spend 3 days with us, right from your living room as we share all our information on how we tackle a wedding day! You’ll be part of a global classroom with other photographers watching and asking us questions from every continent!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with creativeLIVE, it’s the biggest online FREE resource for photographers to learn from some amazing photographers. Past photogs who have graced the web through creativeLIVE have been Jeremy Cowart, Jasmine Star, Tamara Lackey, Vincent Laforet and many more.
THE DETAILS:
What: We will be in Seattle broadcasting LIVE, sharing with you for three days the ins and outs of how we run our weddings!
We will…
… Show you the gear we bring out to weddings talking through the hows and whats we use it for
… Not only talk through the different parts of the wedding day sharing the ins-and-outs of what we’re thinking and our approach and how we handle the different and crazy lighting situations we are given on wedding days, but we will actually be shooting different wedding styled scenes with a real couple and showing you the images LIVE!!
… Explain and talk through off-camera lighting in different lighting situations
… Show you how we incorporate a high-powered studio strobe into our portraits creating dynamic looking images
… Talk through and demonstrate different ways to shoot receptions – often the most challenging part of a wedding day. We will show you different options so you can get amazing images without having to fix them in PhotoShop.
… Share with you the tools and strategies we use to plan for our weddings so we can control the day and not let it control us. The more stress-free the day is – the better experience your bride will have, and the more she will talk about you to all of her friends.
When: January 27-29th
How much: The cost is absolutely FREE, but make sure to enroll at our creativeLIVE course page. Even more awesome is that you can pre-purchase the download of all three days at an early bird rate of $99 (will be $149 as soon as the class starts) if you know that you won’t be able to watch every day and you will forever have the 3 days of content to review and learn at your leisure!
IT GETS EVEN BETTER…
We, along with creativeLIVE will be selecting 6 people to come and join us in Seattle to be a part of the audience! If you want to be there live with us you need to:
1. Record a 60 sec video of yourself
2. Tell us – your name, where you live, what kind of photography you do, how long you have been shooting photography professionally (it’s ok if it hasn’t been long!), and why you would like to be in our live audience.
3. Put the video online and tweet about it making sure to tag @creativeLIVE with the hash-tag, #ZachJodyLIVE!
4. We will look through them and decide who is coming out!
Video submission deadline – Jan 2, 2012
For the 6 lucky photographers who are selected:
- The event is free to attend
- You are responsible for travel to the studio in Seattle, WA, lodging and accommodations
- You will be on camera, so don’t submit a video if you don’t want to have your mug broadcasted to thousands of photographers :)
